Project Overview:
This project presents the development of a Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) system aimed at automating flaw detection in composite components for Boeing. The system encompasses a comprehensive workflow, including automated path planning, precise ultrasonic scanning, and advanced data analytics to accurately detect and visualize defects. Specialized end effectors were designed to securely hold ultrasonic probes and adapt effectively to various composite surface geometries, ensuring optimal probe contact and reliable inspection outcomes.
